No. 01 — Why Jackdough

Why Jackdough works when free YouTube tutorials don't.

Recipe videos can teach you how to score a batard. None of them will tell you whether your county health department will let you sell one. Jackdough is the only school built for the business side of the bake.

  1. 01

Curriculum co-developed with a former FDA cottage food inspector

Our law modules were reviewed by an inspector with four years at the Illinois Department of Public Health — so when we say "approved for sale," we mean it under actual regulation, not vibes.

  2. 02

The 50-state cottage food law database, refreshed every 90 days

Last audit January 2026. Pick your state and you'll see exactly which products are allowed, your annual revenue ceiling, labeling rules, and the inspection window — in plain English.

  3. 03

    11,400+ student-bakers in 47 countries

A private community where founders swap Saturday-morning pricing strategies, troubleshoot sourdough bulk fermentation, and celebrate their first cottage food license. 73% graduate the flagship program.

  4. 04

Verified across 2,847 survey respondents in Q4 2025. Not guaranteed income — a real average, self-reported, of how quickly graduates hit their first four-figure revenue month.

No. 02 — By the numbers

Outcomes, not vanity metrics.

No. 03 — Inside the Academy

What you'll bake, price, and legally sell.

The flagship Breadwinner Academy cohort runs 12 weeks and is structured around three working modules. By week four, you'll have a tested recipe, a legal-to-sell product list for your state, and a margin-positive price on your most-loved loaf.

Tour the full curriculum

Module One

Battle-tested recipes

Sourdough, brioche, laminated dough, layer cakes, cookies. Every recipe is scaled, tested in a commercial deck oven, and broken down by hydration, yield, and shelf life — not just for taste, but for shipping.

Module Two

State-by-state cottage law

Pick your state and walk through your allowed products, revenue cap, labeling rules, and the inspection window. We update the database every 90 days so you're working from the most current regulation.

Module Three

Commercial costing templates

The same margin calculator founder Jack Marlow used to scale his own bakery to $380k/year from a home kitchen. Inputs flour cost, labor, packaging, and overhead — outputs the right shelf price.

From kitchen-table hobby to first $5k month.

Corporate leaver · Austin, TX

"I left a 12-year product manager career in March. By August I'd passed my Texas cottage food inspection, and my November sourdough CSA sold out in 36 hours. The law module alone was worth the tuition — every other course I tried just gave me recipes."

Priya N.

$5,200 in November 2025 · her 9th month enrolled

Stay-at-home parent · Brighton, UK

"I baked brownies for my kids' school fair for six years before I realised I could charge for them. The costing template is what changed it — I finally knew my margin, set a real price, and built a Saturday collection list from repeat customers."
